Basic printing to a Postscript printer can be done with the standard PostScript 2 drivers in the standard RISC OS disk image. |

I hope you haven’t eaten the mesolithic at any point. I was hoping to have that for my evening meal tonight. |

Richard: Of course you also need necessary PoScript driver as described by other people above. I can recommend the PoScript 3 drivers — money very well spent. (Question for ROOL: is it time to consider upgrading !Printers so can set the USB connection from there without assistance of PrtSetUSB….?) Chris. |

It’s a Brother inkjet, I don’t think it is smart enough to do postscript. It’s one of those printer, scanner, copier things that is dirt cheap to buy but with inks that cost more than hard drugs (according to one source, ink cartridges cost more than alcohol, restricted substances, fuel, designer scents, and blood (!)). I tend to use OvationPro (either platform) and print on the PC. Most other stuff is done with Windows or iOS so… I ought look at one of those WiFi printers. My new phone supports it, that’d be the kiss of death, huh? Tap-print-tap-print…what the hell d’you mean your ink cartridge only allows thirty full colour prints? Grr! |

Not studied the full range but I think most have a Brotherscript variant on board.
There was a report some years ago that showed the relative cost by weight of silver, gold, platinum and HP printer ink. The precious metals were pimples on the base line where HP ink used the full Y axis. Edited for right axis |
