gzip for Cortex-A7

Where can I download a copy of gzip compiled for the Cortex-A7? The gzip that worked on my Iyonix does not work on my Raspberry Pi2. Alternatively, from where can I get the RISC OS modified sources? |

Doesn’t SparkFS support GZIP? Should run OK on the RPi 2. Shift-RightMouseClick on the SparkFS icon to change into “file compress/uncompress” mode and then drop the file you want to gzip or gunzip to the icon. |

Just confirming that SparkFS can indeed open gzip files :) |

Thanks. All these years and I never knew that. |

As I recall1 the Read Only version doesn’t do TAR and a few other archive types that the Read-Write version does cover. Hmm, yes, just killed the WR and loaded the read only in the current disc file set and it has some types missing. Of course people wanting all the features could part with a little (very little) cash. 1 You spend years using the full version and rather forget what the free can do, which is quite a bit. |
