Iyonix

I turned my iyonix on this evening but the LAN doesn’t work – I get DNS failures, ping to the router fails. Was all working fine. After multipleResets now gives abort on data transfer on all networking related software eg netsurf, ping etc. Could it be psu? |

As many will testify the NIC problems are usually the first indication of a PSU problem. IIRC the onboard NIC is an Intel 557 series device and theoretically a similar PCI NIC plugged in should work and might not have the same problems. That however would just delay the replacement. As I recall he who has everything offers PSUs for replacement on a SOR basis. |

Past experience has shown that networking problems can be PSU or the network card itself. So we offer: To enable a PCI network card extra software is needed. Which we can point you to. |

For what it is worth, we inherited all John’s old Castle Iyo stuff when he moved exclusively to i.MX6 last year for all his RISC OS computing. As such, we have a dining table (literally at one point!) of stuff looking for good/loving homes. These range from PSU, graphics cards, network card, USB cards and complete Iyonixes. |

Ah, yes, it probably needs moving from here to here so if someone with access to the ROOL site could oblige we won’t lose the software if the Iyonix site is taken down in a tidy up. |
