Academic anyway. Jeffreys changes have broken them. I’ll have to see if I can work around his changes.

The good news is I have USB audio working again with DWCDriver and only needed to change the riscos part of the sources. The bad news is switching more work into fiq doesn’t seem to have made any difference hi res audio still doesn’t work.

So if anyone who’s been having trouble with stuck keys could give it a go and report back with their findings then that would be great.

The problem has always been intermittent for me, and seems to be exascerbated by using multiple USB devices (especially flash drives) so I’ve tried to “stress” the system a bit and still haven’t had any stuck keys. It’s looking promising!

Low voltage on the Pi seems to exacerbate the problem, but I’ve also (rarely) encountered it on VRPC/RO 4.39. The trouble is that I can’t get the update without the very misleadingly named “ZeroPain”.

ZeroPain is not really a problem it just spits out a log file in your root directory otherwise everything still works.

Why is its name misleading?

Maybe because it’s not causing zero pain for those who are fixing the bugs. As a hobby fixing bugs is not the most enjoyable persuits. I’m sure Jeffrey woke up this morning thinking about what he was going to do in his many interesting projects only to be sidetracked by the nagging doubt that there may be more to the obey command dereference than meets the eye and before you know it he’s wasted another day on the chores.

I think the name illustrates Jeffrey’s sense of humour. Come Jan 1st it’s going to rename itself PlentyOfPain. It’s a bit like waiting for the millenium bug to strike – only self inflicted. Lets hope that Jan 1st is the same non event that the turn of the century was.

Why is its name misleading?

Is its name misleading? It prevents issues caused by Page Zero access – hence Zero Pain for the user. Without it, you’d be getting Aborts all the time.
