How to mimic Redshift/f.lux on RISC OS?

Is it possible to emulate RedShift or f.lux behavior on RISC OS? I don’t even care about automation, it’ll be nice even to switch gamma and/or color temperature by hand (for example 3400K at night and 5900 by day – that’s what I’m using on f.lux for Windows). |

No, there is no code in RISC OS, or 3rd party app, that does this. |

There’s a couple of applications to adjust the screen gamma settings, but I think they relied on being able to program gamma settings direct into VIDC and so are unlikely to work on modern systems. I’m currently on holiday so don’t have easy access to see what they were called, but one is !DGamma, I think, and the other came with Cerilica’s !Vantage. |

Interestingly, when I read the first post I thought of Nemo and his references to colour temperatures. |

I’ve never heard about Nemo but according to their website – yes, these are the same Kelvins I’m looking for ;-)
Unfortunately you’re right, at least !DGamma needs old graphics unit. as mentioned on author’s website:
…if so – is it even possible to write something like this compatible with (at least!) Raspberry Pi? |

I have two working tools but I’m not sure if that’s what you are looking. !Monitor is from Cerilica and the second one is inside !Photodesk |

As far as I know tool I’d like to use (color temperature switcher) doesn’t exist. The !Monitor might help me (if it’s possible to actually alter the color curve I will achieve the goal of reducing blue light radiated from screen – this will vastly improve comfort of working with RISC OS at night). While I’ll have !Photodesk soon (my NutPi card will be delivered sooner or later) I’m not sure how could I obtain Cerilica (manufacturer’s website is no longer available). |

Ask on the forum the person that wrote it he said not long ago that he might go back to this great piece of software we can only live in hope. |

I have send a question to the maintainer of the German version of Cerilica !Vantage. In !Monitor (maybe is not the real name, I have changed any thinks inside) you can change the colour curve and save the results in different profiles for a “quick change”. It is also possible to load the settings via !Boot. Edit: |

I’ll just leave it here as a part of my research: link It’s a table of RGB percentage values for various color temperatures. edit: also this |
