That’s why I use SeaMonkey instead; it uses the Firefox engine but has a traditional and unchanging UI. |

Not to start a holy war, but Vista was easily worse. Going back in time, ME was horrible, and while 95 was highly innovative compared to 3.1, it was also a great stinking heap of poo. There is a reason everybody remembers the blue screen of death – it’s because W95 beat it into us. |

Too late. What relevance did that crap have to Raspberry Pi overclocking or even RISC OS. |

Ostensibly none – however observing the mistakes of others can be a useful way to avoid repeating the same… |

I can confirm that the Pi 2’s RAM is not on top of the SoC, it is on the underside of the PCB! I was seriously impressed that to get the significant number of tracks to it, they didn’t need to add an extra layer. This was helped by the fact that Gordon from the Foundation (Ex Broadcom) had a hand in the design of the new Soc, the pin out in particular! |

Hello overclocking, we haven’t met for so long… ;) With some decent heatsing there should be no problem to hit 1,1GHz then.

(flamewar)Yup, that’s true lagdroid is for sure much worse than Windows XP… to use Linux just for running shi^H^H^H miserable Java VM is just pure insanity(/flamewar) |

Even at 900 MHz, the chip is really not hot. So do as you want :) |

On the other hand, given the price, run it hard and if it melts down, run the replacement a little less hard. ;-) As Chris confirmed, the SoC is accessible on the Pi2 so there is potential for a heat sink. And RISC OS only uses 1/4 of the capabilities anyway so…… |

That’s why I’ve chosen to use B+ for RISC OS ;-) it just didn’t make sense to pay double the price (99 vs 184PLN) just to waste three of four cores. It’s blazing fast anyway :-) |
