Hi I have a pi zreo which can boot a version of RISC OS 5. However when the SD card is booted in the Pi Zero, RISC OS can not use any USB devices such as Keyboards or Mice The same keyboard and mouse plugged into the pi zero booting the lasted Raspbian disto also works fine. I have updated the ROM to the lasted beta version, this has made no difference I seem to be the only one with this issue, Ive been working on it for days, So i really feel i’ve missed something? Thank you in advance. |

I have only try with my Lapdock. The Zero is working in OTG mode, I mean. It works with a OTG cable/adapter for Phones… https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/9/topics/3753?page=3#posts-48171 |

A micro USB socket is not like a proper USB socket. It will only operate in ‘host mode’ if the micro USB plug has cores 4 and 5 connected together (or if the same effect is done in software, as Raspian does). This type of lead is called a micro USB OTG plug – it may be on a cable with a USB hub or a single USB socket at the other end. There are also micro USB plugs that do not have cores 4 & 5 connected together – these are for different purposes and will not support a mouse or keyboard under RISC OS. Just make sure you buy the correct lead and if it doesn’t work just get your money back. |
