ResEd and tab, treeview gadgets

While updating one of my apps this morning I needed to add a tabs gadget. In the version of ResEd I was using (0.57), the gadget prototypes for the tabs and treeview gadgets were missing. I managed to find ResEd 0.56 tucked away in a backup, and this does indeed have the missing gadgets in the gadgets prototypes. Looking at the contents of the two application directories, there does not appear to be any obvious difference in files. I am desperately trying to remember whether I did something to add the gadgets to version 0.56. Is version 0.57 of ResEd meant to have these gadgets by default? |

They show up in 0.56 for me too (as empty boxes; I’ve never used them so don’t know whether that’s normal) but not in 0.57. Edit: The commit message in CVS says that some null pointer dereferences have been fixed. I wonder whether 0.56 is showing the two gadgets as empty boxes because it’s trying to get their “image” (for want of a better word) from &0. If that’s been fixed in 0.57 then it makes sense that it’d ignore them completely. Edit 2: Come to think of it, I think I saw some CVS logs a couple of months ago around fixing null dereferences in some of the toolbox components themselves. These are presumably in ROM, so which OS version are you using? I’m on Pi RC14, which is almost a year old at this point. |
