!Packman: Error on installing packages

Hello. Failed to install/remove package when Unpacking / Removing I have no idea what’s wrong with my system. |

I’m not sure what the problem is but if you don’t mind losing everything and starting again just delete the folder. Next time you run PackMan it will prompt to save a new !Packages folder in the same location.

This looks like some sort of disc read/write problem. If you haven’t fixed it already you could turn on the logging to see where it’s failing. In the Advanced menu, from the !PackMan iconbar menu, go to the View Log entry and that will prompt you to turn on logging. Then try the install and after it fails, click on the Log… button. If it’s not clear from the log what is failing, send it to me (my address is in the !PackMan help file) and I’ll take a look. To save the log press menu over the log window and use the Save Log option. |

The advice to view the log was helpful. It showed it was the PipeDream examples that was causing the problem. I used Packman to remove (uninstall) then all the other updates went through. I guess I could try and reload the PipeDream examples some time. Thank you. |
