!SystemDisc & AODT on Pi ROM 29/3/16

Hi guys, Due to a sudden failure of a part of my RISC OS SD Card for my Pi, I decided to create a new one from scratch. Shockingly, !HForm works with my new card reader (Ultimaxx SD & MicroSD card reader). I have a Filecore SD card. I launched !SystemDisc, and attempted to create the DOS partition, only to be met with an Internal Error AODT @ &00010060 Where produced: 10:54:59.20 * Error * Error : &80000002 Message: Internal error: abort on data transfer at &0001006010:54:59.20 * WimpError * from SystemDisc Error : &80000002 Message: Internal error: abort on data transfer at &0001006010:54:59.20 ExecAddress &00010060 is not in any module. Register dump (at &200098D0) is: Code around address is:00010028 : Invalid address Although I have messed around with unplugging DOSFS, it is all re-enabled again (as is SDCMOS) My current setup has the RISC OS 5.23 Nightly Build from the 29-03-2016. Any ideas what I have screwed up? Cheers |

Oddly, it has produced a working partition, but still errored out? |

Sorry I can’t help with the initial problem. I would though be very wary of using a card that errored like above. From past experience there is a high probability that it will go screwy, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and then lose all the data on it. |

Yep hence why preparing another card. |

Awww, you missed a chance to insert one of the best lines of the ’40s: Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life. |

I was deliberately quoting Casablance (my all time favourite film) and did want to continue the quote but the card might actually be fine and !SystemDisc be the problem. |

How does one get hold of version 1.02 of SystemDisc? I have version 1.01 and have logged into the website, but can’t see any “download button” referred to in the text about version 1.02 of SystemDisc and CloneDisc. |

With great difficulty might be the answer. The downloads section, from which I downloaded 1.02, is no longer there. In an outbreak of topical irony it would appear the EU is to blame Brexit should fix that. If one cannot wait the required 2 years then the ruse that works here is to have only the firmware and ROM on a single partition SD card and RISC OS on a Pen or SSD. The contact option on the Piccolo site might help. HTH. |

Another Brexit fallacy! Having been involved in digital downloads for my wife’s business I know a bit about it. Being out of the EU wouldn’t solve the problem and if no agreement was made to continue HM Customs and Excise’s MOSS scheme then it would be much much worse. Sellers outside the EU need to comply with the EU VAT regs or set up blocks to stop anyone in the EU from buying from their site1. 1 A lot easier said than done hence piccolo’s policy. |

Thanks, David. I have used the contact form on the website. |

Gosh, that was quick. Received latest versions of SystemDisc and CloneDisc in a matter of minutes — nearly as quick as a download. Thanks, Ben. |
