Screen resolution way too small to see.

Does anybody have any ideas about changing the screen resolution prior to booting ? I’m using the Risc OS on a Raspberry Pie 1 and the display is so small I can’t read or decipher what anything is. Any help to my resolving this dilemma would be greatly appreciated. |

As far as I am aware, which could be way out of date…. |

The I use the following to force 1280×1024 (but note, the GPU will forever stay in 1280×1024; so set this no less than the native size of your display):

I believe what you’re after is:
You need to unplug BootFX as it doesn’t handle lower resolutions during the boot sequence. Be aware that when you upgrade the ROM image, you must *RMREINIT BootFX before swapping the ROM over…then *UNPLUG it again once the new ROM build has booted. This is because the Module numbers sometimes change between builds, resulting in a machine that may not boot. |

I have had this problem too – Here is A solution. first – get the configuration IN RISCOS correct for your needs. It will be an obey file SIMILAR to this – Monitor LoadModeFile BootResources:Configure.Monitors.Other.Generic WimpMode X1024 Y768 C16M F60Set the ‘access’ to ‘Protected’ to prevent the problem recurring Save a copy (or two) renamed as ‘Screen’ in a suitable BackUp directory and PIN that copy to the Pinboard – in the lower left quadrant and If you find the screen is too fine to read, just click on this file. |

Always select textile mangling things as the first option. You will rarely be wrong. |
