Boot from USB mass storage device

I noticed a tutorial on the raspberry pi website on how to boot a pi 3 directly from a USB mass storage device such as a flash drive or hard drive. Has anyone succeeded doing this with RISC OS?

I saw this (the documentation is here) but didn’t try it myself. I’ve successfully had the ROM on SD and everything else on a hard drive (like a “real” RISC OS machine) but haven’t tried doing everything from the hard drive at this stage.

Chris thanks for your comments. Like you, I have the ROM on SD and use a USB stick for everything else. I was thinking that it might be neat to have everything on a memory stick or hard drive but shall wait until someone with better programming skills than I shows how to do it.
