So is there a guide to updating the distro on SD from within RISC OS on PI? I did an announcement on this forum, I also wrote an article in Archive magazine 24:1 (April 2016: titled dynamic clocking). I also described the firmware update here (the comments about the Zero apply mostly to the model 3 as well). Various bits of software don’t work on the ARM8 in the model 3. Netsurf does work if you download the updated version from !Store but as it loads on first boot you need to update the SD card before putting it into the model 3. |

I have on old style Model B, and the links you gave didn’t give a step by step which what I was looking for. |

didn’t give a step by step which what I was looking for. Download this zip file from within RISC OS and copy the contents of the zip file (a partially populated !Boot structure containing new firmware and ROM) over your !Boot file, checking that you have the copy options ‘Force’ and ‘Verbose’ set and ‘Newer’ not set. That’s it. |
