I have to agree. To this day, if I open a zip file on Windows and try to drag and drop one of the compressed files onto a text editor, I just get a “not allowed” icon. Instead, I need to drag the file to an uncompressed folder, then drag from there to the editor. MacOS doesn’t even let you look inside the archive without extracting it. SparkFS, on the other hand, does it all with one drag. Thanks for writing it! :) |

Yes 1992, the year of SparkFS and ArcFax (and the year I started working on Ovation Pro). I recall being happy with the state I had SparkFS in at Christmas 1992. Anyone saying “25 years later and you’ve not fixed the bugs and updated the manual” – is quite right. I’ve been busy. |

I think I bought both Spark and ArcFS via Peter C.A. Bär in Germany who distributed the excellent software of that one David Pilling. Not sure where I bought SparkFS! I remember discussing the “empty directory ZIP” bug with David a long time ago. |
