Enhancing CDFaker to support CD audio

This makes me think that maybe filesystem icons on the iconbar should give some indication as to what device they correspond to. At the moment they only (sometimes) show the name of the disc/media, but for situations where the entire drive is removable (USB, SATA, etc.) it would be nice to show the name of the drive as well. This doesn’t have to necessarily be directly on the icon bar (i.e. in place of the drive name/number), it could be in the icon bar menu (menu title?), or maybe a ‘drive info’ menu item. |

Very good idea. A “device info” panel accessible via the iconbar menu would be great. Not sure if you can get from every filesystem icon to the necessary info easily. USB based CD/DVD/Blu-Ray devices should ideally have USB info, SCSI info and CDFS info in that panel, but I don’t think CDFS could do that on its own. So starting with CDFS info for CDFS drives, SATA/IDE info for harddiscs and SCSI info for USB mass storage non-CD devices would be already very helpful. |

A FS-agnostic device/drive/disc info system would also be useful for the new HForm (the current HForm contains custom logic for each supported FS) |

I already got the patent on that idea. 2012, sheesh, I’m going to have to send a strongly worded letter to my MP asking why that enhancement’s not been implemented yet. |
