So there’s going to be an Acorn phone

Certainly no irony there!!

Aiming to bring in £450,000 just before April 1st

I’d love to know what it has to do with Acorn Computers and how it costs £450,000 to stick some decals on an existing phone.

Wasn’t the same company making some bold statements several years ago? I don’t recall what they were proposing, but it may have been on here.

Judging by the indiegogo page, nothing beyond one word of the company’s name, and the same choice of item for the logo.

There was this Commodore PET smartphone. And the only thing that’s left after the project is a website with some nice 3D renderings. I would be really cautious before backing up this campaign. Crowdfunding means that you will either get it, or not – there’s no guarantee here.
