They might notice pretty quickly if I put my 2.8GiB site on there…or maybe not, particularly since shrunk like that it might not take quite that much. I’d have to write some fairly nifty code to do the conversion, doing it using ittybitty manually might take me a lifetime or two…

Hmm. Breaking up big jpeg images into chunks that could be handled like that and reassembling them in html looks like a tricky job…might be a tad slow serving them, too…

You can use data: for images of course, but the limiting factor (size) is the platform in which you place the link. I noticed that Textile truncates any trailing = characters from links, but fortunately the site works anyway.

Of course, I realized that. I don’t know whether TinyURL allows 2K URLs, and data: is going to limit you to fairly small images. But you can embed links to them in another URL, along with the html to reassemble them into bigger images…well, theoretically you could, but it would be a tedious process and serving the end result up would be like watching paint grow…watching grass dry is much too quick in this weather…

Hmmm, I wonder if UBlock Origin filters out this sort of thing?
