Rotozoom demo in BASIC

Hello, A couple of days ago, I wrote a rotozooming graphics demo in BASIC as a test of the Matrix Brandy BASIC interpreter for Linux. Its graphics & display routines seem to be really fast. I removed the Matrix Brandy specific features so it can run on RISC OS. On my Pi2 it runs about half as fast as it does in Brandy on my Core2Duo computer from 2007, but it’s still fast enough to be fun to watch. I thought I’d post it here in case people would find it interesting. It reminds me a lot of the fun little BASIC graphics demos that were sometimes included on Acorn User magazine discs, which I enjoyed when I was young. Here is the RISC OS version: Here’s the brandy version which you would need matrix brandy to run: Matrix brandy: |

There’s a port of Matrix Brandy Basic 1.21.16 available here. |

Wee! That was really cool, for about 10 seconds. For some reason the power light on my monitor started flashing yellow and it told me the monitor is going to sleep, which it did. e: It was just my monitor doing it’s thing. Sometimes it’ll complain about the input signal being out of range, while displaying it just fine. |

I’ve just run the Rotozoom demo under RPCEmu on my Core i7 laptop (Windows 10), and it runs impressively (and surprisingly) fast! |
