Truck speeds

I’m on the rocade (orbital) of Rennes.

Just passed a truck that had three speed indications on the back – white round stickers with number in black: 60, 80, and 90.

What are these? Why three?

That sounds sensible – but complicated by the drop in single lane roads currently to 80km/h (50 mph from previously 56)!

For dual carriageways it is 110, and for motorways 130, reduced in adverse weather conditions.

We don’t have the weather conditions affecting speed limits in Belgium but to compensate road security are regional matters so default speed limits are 70km/h in Flanders and 90km/h in the rest of the country.
