Truck speeds

I’m on the rocade (orbital) of Rennes. Just passed a truck that had three speed indications on the back – white round stickers with number in black: 60, 80, and 90. What are these? Why three? |

Different road types (single/dual/motorway)? |

That sounds sensible – but complicated by the drop in single lane roads currently to 80km/h (50 mph from previously 56)! For dual carriageways it is 110, and for motorways 130, reduced in adverse weather conditions. For further information look here |

We don’t have the weather conditions affecting speed limits in Belgium but to compensate road security are regional matters so default speed limits are 70km/h in Flanders and 90km/h in the rest of the country. |
