Re-purpose 3View PVRs, anyone?

Just like buying Acorn in 1982 because it was British, I became proud owner of two (yes, two) British designed 3View PVRs (albeit dependent upon a Linux and some bought-in US AV software) with excellent prospects, specs and UI (See this 3View site which is informative but not added to after 2015; the company died around 2012). So they are effectively two idle Linux boxes each with a 500GB disc, not to mention the DTV tuners (and their spares). Ripe for re-purposing, don’t you think? Anyone game to try, or to offer ideas? |

It looks like people have various uses for them. http://www.3viewpvr.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=150 According to the forum on the linked page it’s MIPS so no RISC OS capability unfortunately. |

So it’s more RISC/os than RISC OS. ;-) |
