strange econet question

tl;dr: Was there ever econet hardware for the Tano Dragon? long form: So my first computer was a Tandy Color Computer 3, younger brother to the Tano Dragon. As a result I love the 6809 the way Acorn old-timers love the 6502. So any mention of hardware driven by 68xx support chips makes me wonder if that hardware was ever wired to a CoCo/Dragon. And Econet is controlled by a 6854! :-) I must know!!! |

I think the only ‘foreign’ Econet hardware of that era was the Ecolink ISA-bus card for PCs with MS DOS 3.3. Fitting a 6854 to a computer is the easy part – most of the work is the software stack to run on top. I don’t think Acorn were interested in Econet running on their competitors’ hardware. |

Not unexpected, but still a bummer. :-( |
