Haven’t been able to connect to Arcade for a little while. Anyone know anything about it? |

No, he means Arcade BBS. ;-) I believe either the computer, the disc, or both has failed. Well, it’s a RiscPC that’s probably been on non stop for a quarter century. Not sure what this means for the future. If I hear of anything, I’ll let you know… FWIW: ARCbbs (the server software) “mostly” appears to run on a Pi under Aemulor, however DoorModule (for talking to add ons) stiffs the machine, and I don’t have a copy of the telnet gateway program to test… all that stuff is on a CD ROM that is MIA. I did my tests with an older (slightly broken) copy of my old BBS. |

That’s an achievement. Mine has moved house twice and seen quite a number of power cuts, so I can guarantee it hasn’t been on totally non-stop. Having mentioned its long life it will probably expire within days now. |

That would be sad. Not that it’s a great resource now or whatnot but it’s history and a means of waving (through time).
Quite. Had mine since 1994 though not run too often now. Mostly a sort of archive. |
