OMG - the oaks are out...already!

That does not surprise me. Down here in the southern hemisphere we are still getting temps in the mid 30s almost every day. A lot of seasonal plants aren’t even hibernating during winter anymore. Farmers are able to have a winter crop now, if they can afford the water that is.
It’s all rather worrying really.

It’s sad and frustrating that so many people are in denial about global warming.

That mean more sunshine? Bring it on! I’m not a Nordic person… ;-)

PS: I’m quite aware that rising heat would melt the Arctic, sending cold weather south, messing up the nice current of warm air, giving us in north west Europe a climate akin to Toronto.

As in ‘kin cold’ in winter?
The ‘interesting’ bit is probably summer with a likely ‘entertaining’ set of storms through each summer or a sustained bake of hot dry. Flip a coin, weather systems are chaos. The only near certainty would be more amplitude in the variation.

It’s maybe 3 weeks to winter, and here I am still wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Some randomly germinated tomato plants are looking big and healthy with green tomatoes on them. This isn’t right.
