Just smashed my most important piece of RISC OS equipment, my java container. Yes, my ROOL mug is no more! Time to start a mug bounty. |

I’m sure ROOL will have more at the show, and I’ll ask Richard to bring some ROD ones with him too to house the various goodies we’ll be announcing. |

It’s really a pity that t-shirts, mugs, etc. are not available on the ROOL Store. I would buy a bunch of them :) |

I would like a return of the mouse mats too. I don’t remember t-shirts ever being available; but I would buy a ‘ROOL’ t-shirt, especially if it had a slogan like “RISC OS may not ROOL the world, but it is the most user-friendly computer operating system.” Alright, not the snappiest slogan, but it’s the best I can do this time of night. Perhaps, someone can improve on this, especially the bit after the “but”. |

RISC OS ROOL THE WORLD |

… with a ROD? |

Do you have any ROOLs that Fred can’t break? |
David R. Lane (77) 766 posts |
I like the last one, but the world outside RISC OS won`t understand ROD. Perhaps, “ARM yourself with RISC OS, the most user-friendly operating system”. Or, drop feeble attempts at humour, and go for “RISC OS, the first operating system to run on an ARM processor”. |

… and if we wait a little while we can put out a double page advert welcoming Apple to the club. |

The second, or later, first was Brazil. |

Arthur was before RISCOS, too. Although you could say Arthur was simply RISCOS’s name in its earliest versions. |

RISC OS ROOL THE COG :) |

On the theme of branding, for many years I have been wearing T-shirts with the Lua logo on them. My wife approves of them. When people enquire I can explain that lua is Portuguese for moon and that as a programming language it succeeded SOL (standard object language). This is as good a way as any of explaining the peculiar psychology, and the verbal lobes, of people like myself. |

@ Dave Lawton, I would buy merchandise with that slogan. |

I thank you, Ron & David. |

Hmm, echoes of an interesting period (specifically 1981 there) with RJD, for me the comment of IG about his period covers the RJD period too “it was fun but it wasn’t Sabbath” |

Can I put in a vote for just a coloured cog and the phrase “RISC OS” somewhere, nothing else, nothing? |

Oh… I thought it was a voodoo demon god spirit entity thing… |
Frederick Bambrough (1372) 837 posts |
Anything else is risky. The back of mine said ‘Break’. |
David R. Lane (77) 766 posts |
If only Rick Murray’s slogan, just “RISC OS” and the cog, was the only one on offer, I would buy it; but will ROOL go for it? Steve Revill hasn’t commented yet. |

Have a Ctrl-Break, have a RISC OS. |
