Disaster

The underside of my day-to-day mug says “Made in England” carved into it. Also, on the opposite side of the circle, what appears to be “YAMS” or “JAMS” |

Not sure if this is the same seller or not, but CJE bought a couple of mugs with a very similar “back story” from a seller on eBay a while ago and they turned out to be really poor quality copies! You could clearly see JPEG artifacts in the text! So, buyer beware! |

Yep, that’s one of the things that made me suspicious – there are really rough edges to the Archimedes logo and the text is very rough too, looks like it’s “printed” straight from a JPEG. Pity, I quite fancy a new/old Acorn mug. |

I’ve never had an Acorn mug :-( but I do have a few ARM ones, that I know are genuine because I got them when I was working at ARM. Including one that is now completely white, all the design having simply worn off over the years. Where ARM got that batch from I don’t know. |
