Gosh that was tedious, even at 1.75× speed. TL;DR: The programmer died. The auteur didn’t hire another. |

Yeah. Well, I watched the first minute and then skipped to parts at random to see if there were any screenshots or game action. To be honest the interview lost me at the titles. The unreleased Elite killer? Seriously? That’s a mighty big ego going on there. In somebody’s estimation it might have been an Elite killer. But since it was never released, it can join the ranks of all the other brilliant game-changing vapourware… Next. |

Arc Vector. Looks good. It ought to run on a 2ish GHz P4 with XP (I’ve certainly had games with that sort of quality running on lesser hardware), but what’s the betting it’ll want W10 and some recent .Net or the like?
“On” major PC stores? On? How about we swap cash for a shiny spinning disc? |

I remember being very excited for Karma, and a friend even more so. He got the Flight Trainer and we looked at it together. I was a bit confused, but also intrigued, and bought a copy too. To be honest, I only made it part way, though, as I found the clues/breadcrumb trail rather confusing and tedious trial/error to puzzle out. Apparently the reward was the hopper ship mentioned in the video, but you couldn’t do much with it as there were no other ships or space stations etc. It was certainly pitched as an Elite killer in the magazines at the time. I recall reading the articles and it seemed mind-numbing how detailed it was, amazing stuff. The flight trainer really didn’t deliver any of the “amazing”, though, because it didn’t contain any other people, ships or stations. Very sad that the author can’t see his way to releasing something as a tribute to Rick (the dead programmer). I can’t believe that any coder would want their game to never see the light after spending 3 years working on it. But then, everyone is different. Maybe that’s exactly what he’d have wanted. I guess it is none of my business really. |

Theoretically wonderful is more comforting than demonstrably mediocre. |
