Spaces n' stuff

Speaking of spaces in filenames etc.

It’s not just Microsoft who do it. The Mac comes full of spaced out filenames as well. Lots of hyphenated or underscored ones too, seems utterly random.

It’s my colleague that would be converted to a 6-foot Rastafarian Tourettes sufferer by anything Mac.
The phrase “you’re holding it wrong” did get him to suggest that letting go of the irritating iPad at a speed calculated to embed it in a nearby wall might solve the problem: Citrix access, works fine on everything – including Android devices – but not the iPad.

Wife has an iPad, sometimes needs help with it. Incredibly frustrating, whenever possible I get her to wait for Son to help – he’s much more iPad-friendly than I am. The MacAir I’m on at the moment is okay – a few niggles, mainly that the screen is far too small, but okay. The Mac Mini at home, that shares that 4K screen with the Pi, is my main workhorse. Again, a few niggles – but far fewer issues than I used to have with anything Microsoft. My only dealings with Microsoft these days are to use Microsoft Word online (I don’t have, and don’t want, a local copy of the software) to check and if necessary correct pagination in .doc and .docx files that I create with LibreOffice on the Mac.
