Storm Dennis? Well, it’s very windy and feels cold in the wind, and yesterday it poured all day. But today it’s been sunny and dry all day, and we went for a walk along the Esplanade. High tops in the distance shining with snow, the nearer hills and coasts looking green and summery! |

It’s here alright. https://heyrick.eu/blog/index.php?diary=20200216 Had a longish power cut around noon, and it keeps dropping out for a few seconds-minute every now and then. Makes using the computer somewhat difficult. :-) So I’m in bed with my phone to watch Netflix. That’ll work as long as there is power, just a shame that when the Livebox reboots, it takes several minutes. The sky is extremely grey, but no rain as yet. Which is good as the forecast is for a weeks worth of rain to fall in an hour or two. As if it isn’t already more than wet enough! |

There was a UPS (about 420VA as I recall) left in an abandoned rack. PS. I should explain – it’s in the garage and I don’t want to ferret around and lift it to read the ‘plate’ |

A UPS on freecycle in Cambridge a couple of days ago, but we’re in Greenock at the moment and I expect it’ll be gone before we’re back in Ely. |

Walked the boys to school in the crisp sun this morning, a bit of a contrast to having to scrape 2 inches of snow off the roof of the car and drive through a blizzard yesterday, and the day before we had an hour of hailstones which then melted and made their way through the leaky roof. |

Didn’t the young whipper snappers want to go out in the snow like Scott and Amundsen :-)) |

They drive them to the gates next door. They drive them to the Weight Watchers sessions in the evening too. |
