Haha maybe I’m showing my lack of gray hairs here, but I didn’t grow up using RSS Feeds so I’m not actually familiar with what they are or what they do, but thanks for posting about it, so if that is anyone’s preferred method, they have access to it.

At a glance, it appears to do what the dead dinosaur does, only without needing a third party website getting involved.

The RISC OS Sargasso reader doesn’t like the markup. On Firefox, with an RSS add-on, it detects the RSS automatically, and displays like this:

So basically, it’s an updated running index to what’s new on a site. It is provided directly by the site itself.

The RISC OS Sargasso reader doesn’t like the markup

It was because Sargasso wasn’t following HTTP 3xx redirects. There’s an updated version of Sargasso 2.06pre6 here.

Good point! (about the RSS feeds) I think they are still very useful to get news updates and check what seems to be interesting to me.
