It’s still not too late to port Plan 9 to it. ;) |

Oh things never goes away, the problem is that the A7000 port probably is long gone, and no one to ask. |

Wait… So you sold your machine 15 years ago, and got it back with all your data still on it? Two questions come to mind – the first being why on earth did you sell it without wiping your data… and… didn’t the purchaser ever use it?!? But, yeah, how many times have you just looked at something and thought “oh my god”? What was I doing fifteen years ago? Something like http://heyrick.eu/software/pb2/index.html and http://heyrick.eu/software/ttx/ttxdos.html |

I probably just forgot about the data, or was tired or something! No he never used it much. |

I made enquiries but haven’t heard anything. In the meantime, I started a new port of Inferno based on existing ARM ports. |

Why not trying to port it to A5000? Then it could be used under RISC OS with Arcem or Archiemu :) |

Because I don’t own an A5000. :) It should be possible to make it work on an A5000. However, if you just wanted to run it in a window in the RISC OS desktop, it would be more interesting to implement the RISC OS support for hosted Inferno. I’m not sure how much work that would be. I don’t know if Arcem can run RISC iX but Arculator certainly can. It requires a version with support for the SCSI podule that RISC iX needs to run from. |
