Just when it looks like the plague will mutate into a form that wipes out everything (far fetched? not this year!), what will actually do us in is a comet, called 2018VP1… |

Listed as an asteroid and too small to do much beyond produce an airburst that could rattle windows. Assuming it does the 0.41% chance of actually hitting earth or its atmosphere. Bit alarmist Rick, have you been reading the daily excess again? |

You know, if five years ago you pitched a movie to Netflix where Trump is president, where he pretty much doesn’t care about the out of control situation of a global viral pandemic that shut down much of the world for a couple of months (don’t even contemplate the scale of the coming depression), and where for a while people stood outside clapping to support health workers instead of putting hands into pockets to help buy some damned masks and aprons, and everybody is going gung ho for wearing masks months too late (except the selfish twats that don’t think the rules should apply to them), where millions have lost their jobs, and water is an upcoming crisis in a scary number of American homes… …you’d be laughed out of the room for the story being too absurd to even take seriously. It’s all real, and it’s all 2020. So the idea of that 0.41% chance being wrong and the lump of rock being big enough or fast enough to do some damage… is that really so far fetched? In this weird ass year? |

Just popped over for the lulz. Nothing about being wiped out like the dinosaurs (what a missed opportunity!). |

It’s on record, you know what Boris and co were doing when they should have been doing Covid prep work. Brexit, way more important than people dying.
Or even that. |
