Website hosting

My ISP decided to close down at the end of the year its old free website hosting, so it is high time I start looking for a website hosting service that can preferably be accessed from RISC OS.

Does anyone here have any good experience? I just need some 50 MB (for static pages and archives) and the possibility to reuse my old domain name.

OVH. Not free, but I can host your domain (you keep it, if you want) on my multi-domain instance for free.

https://www.catalyst2.com/hosting/web-hosting/ – they host my site on the Mega deal. Not free, but certainly inexpensive.

They suppport https and ftps, and they auto-renew Let’s Encrypt certificates.

Have you thought about hosting it yourself?

You will need an ADSL, FTTC or, even, FTTP connection with a static (sometimes called fixed) IP address.
