Holidays

I needed a break from RISC OS coding, so as a holiday project I started a completely meaningless project that no one cares about. EGS is a windowing system for Amiga that came with the Spectrum graphiccards. It wasn’t rtg , so apps needed to be coded for it. It look a lot like Motif, but more pretty. I don’t have one of the original cards , but the system also includes a generic Amiga driver. I recently got a MiSTer FPGA system , that sports a MiniMig core among others. I got that wild feeling when I started to tinker with Amiga and EGS: Why not write programs for it?! The system was never popular back in the days , but there is a SDK available. So , what should I program? A browser! I am doing it from scratch , just borrowing the basic parser from Mosaic. Nice project! Happy holidays to you too!
Every X11 dev I met has been a firm supporter of the move to Wayland. ;) |

I did have to write a small application using X11 in the mid-1990’s. I still shudder at the memory. |
