That annoys me, but not for Brexit-related reasons. Back in 2019 NZ changed its tax laws, requiring GST to be paid on imports if the supplier makes more than $60k/year in sales to NZ. Amazon US immediately added the import deposit for sales to NZ, but Amazon UK said that their systems didn’t support this so deliveries to NZ would be temporarily suspended. Now it’s 2021 and it seems that Amazon UK’s software now has support for import deposits, yet they still block NZ when you try to order something. |

Makes me so proud to be British… 😡 Of course, the Home Office has form when it comes to insisting that the rules are clear, especially when they contradict, which gives them the opportunity to apply the most unhelpful interpretation and not want to permit corrections – https://www.theguardian.com/money/2021/apr/29/my-wife-was-refused-leave-to-remain-in-uk-after-ticking-the-wrong-box |

Small consolation really, but you do understand that the typical governmental official will treat a 10th or 100th generation UK resident in much the same fashion… |

Everything to do with Brexit – everything – makes me embarrassed to be British. |

There’s a very short list of people on whom I wouldn’t piss if they were on fire: Lying Nigel, Lying Boris, Lying Dominic, Lying Jacob and Evil Priti. |

And a special ejection from the other side, from a great height, for Cameron who:
I do wish I had a time machine so I could go ahead a few hundred years to the United Territoires of England and Gibraltar 1 and see how this whole thing gets written in the history books. 1 I envisage Aldershot being like Old Kowloon, only with security cameras everywhere so the government can keep tabs on all |
