My ancient assembler info is still relevant, it seems

Google reporting on my site says that the most common search phrase in December was:
And who is looking for all this information about R<8 and R13? Indians. With more hits than the UK (2nd place) and USA (3rd place) combined. Can’t help but think something like that ought to be like page two of the textbook… |

Can’t help but think that somebody who is writing assembler and needs to Google their homework for such a simple thing probably ought to choose a different career. |

Be thankful that someone seems to care about registers in this day and age! |

Don’t blame the students, Rick – but definitely do blame the tutors. Sadly, I know this from my own nephew’s experience. He is one of the students in question. One of my nieces, his cousin, suffered similarly. Wonderful tribal development scheme, provided a place for her on a course training her to be an Air Hostess; great – except that none of the Indian air lines have a non-discrimination policy, and a tribal girl has no chance of being offered a job with them, however good her marks. |

Ah, but you can get an answer for almost anything from a Google query. |

Or seek a job as an IT “manager”1 where you don’t seem to need to know anything much? The one’s who excel on micro-managing people and totally miss the “IT” 1 I suppose I should state that my job title includes the word manager2 and is actually long enough that at the standard door text sizes would probably exceed the width of the door2 which would amuse my father. 2 General reckoning is that the longer the title the less work you do. If that’s true then I need a job title longer than these footnotes to bring stuff down to manageable levels. |

I think that largely depends upon cronyism – re. Dido Harding. |

Indeed, not paying enough attention. Reading Americanisms in reports of Trump’s incitement to riot doesn’t help either. |
