What does a Win Linux laptop think VRpc / Rpc programs are – games? because some machines seem to offer one faster core. |

Windows will normally be setup to use the fastest performance core for the foreground application if it is performing a CPU intensive operation. It does not care what sort of application it is. As an emulator is normally extremely CPU intensive and operates in the foreground, it would be allocated the faster core(s). |

The Intel P/E hybrid CPUs have something called Thread Director, that uses machine learning to analyse the work load and distribute the work appropriately, including advising the OS. So, I’m going with “magic pixies” decide for you. |
