Last century Spooks?

Does anyone remember a spy series in the 1980s or 1990s called Spooks, as well as the 2000’s one?

ISTR that there was an Australian actor from Neighbours or Home and Away in it. The building I used to work in in the 1990s was occasionally used for filming.

Either I’ve got the title wrong, or I’m slightly batty.

I can’t find it online at all.

If it is Spooks then it has been on one of the streaming services within the last year, plus I think it was on Alibi or Watch channels fairly recently. There was a second version on of new Young Spooks based in Manchaster after some major event destroyed London.

Or could you be thinking of ‘Bugs’ another spy type series.

My overriding memory of that was finding a bomb or bomb trigger on a plane, or something like that.

And I’m like “No! You twat! That’s an Astec UHF modulator!”.

I loved ‘Bugs’ I have all the stories on DVD, I also rather liked the theme tune. I think I have the theme on a replay film somewhere.
