Turnaround time for DDE orders?

Just wondering; I just did the upgrade (using my developer number) as I have previously purchased DDE; I am not sure if it is automated, or has to be actioned manually (tomorrow? :) ) – am looking to move a few C projects over to RISC OS from my Pi 5 :) |

Have you tried Linux RO on Pi 5? |

Actually I haven’t! I really should keep up to date on these things! Is there a link (I will also google it); I am assuming it uses Aarch32 emulation (although the Pi5 has 4 (almost) perfectly good Aarch32 cores sitting unused, due to being fixed to USR mode. Am hoping to get the DDE / tools soon (hoping Paypal doesn’t mess it up, as it still says ‘pending’ on my bank account for the transaction) 😳 If Linux RO can work without much hardware acceleration, I will check it out (I use the Pi 5 via VNC and a laptop, so even SDL2 can slow to a crawl in some apps I tried) |

Linux RISC OS runs in 32 bit user mode, which is still supported on the Pi 5. |

Will check it out! My DDE arrived (actually yesterday), so will be getting that set up on my Pi4, and aim to do a ‘proof of concept’ of getting my C VDU drivers to compile as part of a test RPi4 RO5 ROM :) I will look into Linux RISC OS (if it runs on Raspberry Pi Linux) soon! |
