How easy would it be to edit a TS file to exclude the parts that are 16:9? I have a bad habit of watching old series recorded off-air, and of course the adverts are wide screen while the parts I want to watch are 4:3. It sounds like something that could be whipped up fairly quickly as a command line program by someone who knows ffmpeg or similar, maybe even just a bash script? If it just outputs the start and end timestamps, I can probably work with that, too. |

Another person who watches Talking Pictures? When the adverts come, I simply swipe right a few times 1 until they’re gone. Or take it as a good opportunity to go out the kettle on. 1 Or ^Right, etc |

I know, and I can hit the end of the ads 90% of the time, it’s just a waste of time. Automation is good! (4Extra, actually, for this series, but I did enjoy a few episodes of Dixon of Dock Green.) |

I remember enjoying them when they were first shown! |

Me too, but I realise now that I didn’t understand them. |
