Everybody got played

Moved from the nemo thread to here…
I was, and still am, astounded by how many people failed to understand the entire premise. Let’s see, somebody I know voted for it because they were sick of wealthy Arabs/Russians/Chinese buying up properties and pushing the prices up. Somebody else voted because they were fed up to the hind teeth of the ever-increasing landlord fees. Somebody voted for it because they wanted to kick out all the foreigners. I could write a lot, but I can’t be bothered. Suffice to say “the corrupt elite played you lot good”. Leaving the EU is hurting the country, and it’s people like you and me that will pay the price. Those who orchestrated this omnishambles? Their money is safe, and it keeps on growing, shame about your pay and your inflation and your mortgages, sucks to be you, etc etc. [but then, a previous HomeSec was so out of touch in the Dickensian sense that she thought being homeless was a “lifestyle choice”, that’s how grounded to reality these people are] Anyway, y’all got played. And given that it’s a taboo subject that few politicians want to discuss (other than to deny doing anything about it), you’re still being played. [just a shame I can’t gloat, it’s not as if French politics is a shining example right now – I think we’re supposed to be taking bets on how long this guy will last…] |

Yawn, move on – oh you did, to France. |

I’ll shut up when it stops being a persistent problem. Simply saying “yawn” does not fix what is broken. And, for what it is worth, I moved to France nearly a quarter of a century ago, using my rights as a European to do so. |

Do I detect noise from a Brexit supporter? How did you benefit then? |

The ‘bottom line’ is that we are all about GBP 4000 a year worse off. The idiots who voted for this should pay the rest compensation of GBP 4000 a year IMHO ;-) Ralph |

Agreed. What most angers me about the stupidity of Brexit is that we, the ordinary people of the UK, have lost our right to freedom in Europe. Not a single benefit has accrued from Brexit to any of us, as far as I can see. On the debit side, our economy has shrunk, lots of things have got more expensive, there’s all this waste of effort to do with Customs… the list goes on. Lying Boris was promising that we could have all the benefits of membership of the club without being members of the club. That was never going to happen, but lots of people were daft enough to believe it. |

As far as I’m concerned, anyone who voted for Brexit essentially voted for Vladimir Putin. Some (the average every day person who saw the adverts on busses etc) did it because they were duped, while some did it knowingly (the rich corrupt elite Rick mentions) |

Keep an eye on Elmo Skum for his support of Farage. How to we know it’s a potential danger? This: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1105205404306046&id=100044497893836 One of the rich twats that failed the country catches whiff of some serious dosh and clearly he wants a piece of that action. It’s an almost embarrassing level of brown nosing… |
