Scrolling URL bars

Tramping my morning round of URLs with NetSurf 1741
I was amazed to see the URL in the bar at the top go scrolling off to the left. I clicked a link to another webpage. Yes, there scrolled the URLbar again; and when I clicked the refresh button. Funny, is that NetSurf going barmy or something else? I opened Messenger Pro to send an email. Same marquee effect in the bar at the top.

Then I realized that my notepad was resting on the spacebar, and all was explained. Phew!
But then Messenger Pro suddenly disappeared, and a
“bad free space map on SDFS” message appeared. Luckily DiscKnight did its wonderful stuff and I had a good SD card again.

Now I wonder if these phenomena were related?
