With the success of the ARM processor architecture, it proved to be only a small task to reprogram RISC OS for the newer ARMs. A company named RISCOS Ltd. took up the task of maintaining the operating system for the newer computers, made by Castle Technology Ltd.

To make that page a little easier on the eye, you need to edit ‘forums_layout_new.css’

About 80-85% down the file, look for /* BANNED! SHAZAM! */ and delete opacity: 0.3; in tr.banned

It’s not so wrong. Remember it was in 2007. I was reading some old Acorn User this week (to find BBC Basic code to work with) and see news about an agreement between Castle and RISCOS Ltd around the OS. Perhaps he just stopping following the news at this time…

What David said, combined with the guy who wrote that post probably doing so several years after the he stopped keeping up with RISC OS and – other than the odd snippet he came across (RISC OS on newer ARM-based devices) – from (an imperfect) memory.
