It’s the little victories. I finally got GCCSDK to build on ARMv7 linux. for future reference I edited gcc4/srcdir/gcc/gcc/config/arm/arm.h by adding the line “#define SUBTARGET_EXTRA_SPEC_FUNCTIONS” without the quotes up near the top of the file. So I’ve got it working in aarch64 and ARMv7 now. e: It may have compiled fine but the assembler is failing with “Error: offset out of range”. So just move along. Nothing to see here. |

R.I.P. RPi Zero. Today I revisited it after the troubles it was having a while back. First try there was just red noise on the screen. It was generating a sync, but the video resembled screen tearing of an analog TV signal. Weird. I tried another HDMI → mini HDMI adapter. Same thing for a bit but eventually a signal with slightly messed up colours. The red was still random and torn, but the others were okay… I think. The leaves on the Raspberry pi were yellow. After a little more there was nothing. No boot. I was hoping the Zero would work because I’m usually using the Pi B for RISC OS. It’s okay but kind of slow, relatively speaking. I got about everything working on the 3 but some programs even when patched seemed a little flaky. |
