Oh, the bit in that from “Brexit campaigners” is priceless.

It seems that unless they can force everyone in the UK to lose freedom of movement they won’t be happy. What’s their problem? Don’t they want anyone to have access to the benefits?

Well, yes. Apparently such a plan “would discriminate against Leave voters” – which is curious, as I was led to believe that being in the EU had no advantages.

Sadly, I can’t see the idea becoming a reality.

And that is fifteen years since you were last registered to vote, not necessarily since you’d last been resident.

Exactly. Moving out here in 2002, I would have just squeaked through, but no. It isn’t time of residency, it’s time of voter registration. Which for me was a long time before given that 1997 gave us Tony Blair…..
