Duh. The point was not to give away essential plot elements to people who might have recorded it to watch later, while giving enough details to make sense to those who watched it and wondered how we got from the dead world to cute wet girl saving the day in ways that defy belief.

Indeed, so do some men! But there was some excitement at the first lesbian kiss on TV before the watershed in Brookside (1984) – the lovely Anna Friel! Now either is commonplace – but perhaps new to Childrens Television, making it noteworthy. Or am I seen to be disrespecting the genre? It was certainly that when I was younger (Googles it: Gosh only 1963! Seems to have been going as long as the Archers!)!

Anyway, 17:15 was definitely in Childrens Hour then! That was the year I did my “O” levels IIRC!
