I was referencing big bang vs. steady state theory, but you knew that. OK, I have a theory that you take items and words out of context to try and support your weak argument.
That an object or concept has reality. Most people hang on to the physical aspect but a simple idea or theory can exist without and physical presence.
Without long repetition the dictionary definition will do. |

Prompted to add a late ‘off the main thread’ comment to this, prompted by the: “But there are many other things about the US constitution I don’t follow as well, like the inalienability of the right to bear arms.” At the start. This also puzzled me until the rest of the relevant part of the constitution was read out. The point of this was that the people writing it didn’t want the USA to have an established continent-wide army for fear it might then impose the will of a National government on the states or the rich men who ran them. So it was akin to the ancient English idea of requiring the peasants to become practiced archers. They could then been called upon when their betters needed an army. i.e. It was one of the measures aimed at keeping the National government weak, and let the states do as they please. They didn’t have an army and didn’t want one to form. Later on they did, of course, form National forces. But by then the Americans had come to feel that many of them were John Wayne and it was their ‘right’ to arm bears… erm bear arms for their personal use. |
