Any ideas of a good Android SmartPhone UserNet News App – mainly for receiving Acorn News groups. Also a ‘Ereader’ [edit] for SmartPhone – by the way – has anyone had a go at making a ‘Ereader’ for ‘RISC OS’. (An extention to Ovation or StrongHp or a standalone Prog) (Are the ‘Ereader’ file format docs around?) On a nother note – did anyone see Guy Martins – TV prog about autocars? |

I just use firefox and access the google newsgroups in mobile format to look at the Acorn forums. The E-reader format tends to be epub, but I know from what you’ve written, you’re thinking of a news reader app.
Nope, but it sounds interesting. Unrelated I know but I did see the movie Paddington and (sadly) I did notice how many Acorn Computers were in the libary ;-) |

Could you use ‘Chrome’ to download todays ‘Acorn’ newsgroups? What search question would you ask? |

If you are just reading c.s.acorn or whatever why not just use groups.google.com |

I use Groundhog – https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.almarsoft.GroundhogReader&hl=en It is quite old, so you’ll need the Assistant Menu or a Bluetooth keyboard since the “menu” button no longer exists… |
