A long time ago in Birmingham

Some time in the ealy 1980s I was in a works computer club called Warwick Micro Club. We had monthly themed meetings with talks and demonstrations on topics like “Logo turtle graphics” ZX80 controlled
robots mice, computer chess etc. For a change we sometimes organized outings to computer shows.

I have agreed to give a talk about these early computer experiences but am having trouble recalling much detail. In particular I would like to find out about a show that was held in Birmingham at which the Apple Lisa was introduced, and also about a show that was held in Manchester Tech which may well have been an Acorn only show.

I have tried Google, but have not had any success in finding information about computer shows.

If anyone can recall anything about either show, the date for example it would be helpful.
