Can't find bzip2

I wasn’t sure where to post this so I hope this is OK. The link to the bzip2 binary (for RISC OS) on this page: http://www.riscosopen.org/wiki/documentation/pages/The+19th+May+Release is out of date. The link points to a page on riscos.info but the link on that page to the binary is broken. In fact all the links on that page seem to be bad. I’ve unzipped the files I need using a linux box, but if anyone knows of another bzip2 port for RISC OS it might be worth updating your page. |

Yeah, quite a few other packages seem to have disappeared as well, among them OpenSSH. |

Yes, lots of stuff got deleted at Christmas. I heard they’re working on bringing stuff back gradually as RiscPkg packages, but they’re obviously taking a while to do so. I suggest someone takes up the issue with riscos.info – and fixes our wiki when it’s done, of course… |

I’ve just run bzip2 through the gcc4 autobuilder and put the successful result at: http://www.snowstone.org.uk/temp/ It’s untested and I’ve no idea if it’ll work with the Castle compiler. Alan Buckley is gradually working through the packages which used to be on the UPP webpages and adding them to: http://www.riscos.info/packages He’s asked (on the GCCSDK mailing list) for anyone with specific items they’d like moved up the priority list to contact him. Hope that helps, Adam |

Thanks for stepping in and building a binary – I’ve included a link to your temporary page in the download instructions on the site. Hopefully the UPP packages will be all back in working order soon. |

I’ve deleted the files on my website. Please now use: http://www.riscos.info/packages/UtilitiesDetails.html#bzip2 |
