This seems to contradict the commit log.
It appears that if an item’s selected, it’s supposed to replace it. If it’s opening a whole new document then that doesn’t seem right to me. Edit: I downloaded Draw 1.32, which has the clipboard changes implemented, and was unable to get it to open new documents (it is, however, now pasting relative to the mouse pointer rather than offset from the original object). It seems that it’s the later drag/drop functionality changes that have introduced the multiple-documents issue. |

So it’s not me, it’s an actual fault in the programming! That’s a relief! I think I’d rather have a selection between the original behaviour and whatever solution concerning Copy and Paste evolves! |

It looks as though tomorrow’s ROM image may have a Draw with the old Ctrl-C behaviour available again on Ctrl-D – if I’ve interpreted today’s “Add duplicate selection operation” entry recorded in events correctly. Whether the previous bizarre behaviour with Ctrl-C has been changed remains to be seen. Edit: Tomorrow has been and went with no new build … Ah well, perhaps another day! |

We had to wait a bit longer than that for a new build, but I can confirm that Ctrl-D does indeed appear to do what Ctrl-C used to, and Ctrl-V no longer opens a fresh window! So sanity is restored! |
